ABOUT US
We are two small twenty bed care homes Fairfax and Inwood House moments from the centre of Salisbury. Specialising in dementia care. Our size allows us to operate like a family run business. From the in-house training coordinator through to book keepers and managers. Who have invested their long careers into the homes. And of course to the care staff out on the floor doing the most important job of all. Caring for and meeting our guests needs. Ensuring a loving, clean and activity filled life for those who matter to us. Whether its for a short respite stay or longer.
OUR COMMUNITY
Here at Fairfax and Inwood we have regular socials out and about to coffee shops in town, pubs and events in the market square. We have theme lunches in house. Weekly, monthly and yearly visitors. Organised and joined in with by our activities coordinator and staff. Relatives and friends are always welcome to join to.
Along side daily activities we have a large list of outside professionals who come regularly to see to the needs of our guests. These include Kev our hairdresser who uses our in house salon. Laura our beautician, Kirsty our Aromatherapist and Nene our chiropodist. We also arrange in house opticians and doctors appointments. A dementia care specialist Elizabeth Bartlett who runs a memory group called 'edge on' with our guests. And twice a week we have arm chair exercises with Jackie.

SPACES
Both homes have car parks at the front of the properties. A main lounge and dining room where guests are encouraged to spend time during the day. As well as a quiet conservatory for a more peaceful moment. Our gardens are landscaped to create both an enjoyable space to wander around or to sit and listen to the water features. With accessible planters for those with green fingers.
All our rooms boast a difference as our older properties dictate their layouts and sizes. Reminding you on entry that you are walking in to a house that is a home to all.
Most rooms have en suite facilities varying from simple loos to shower rooms through to bathrooms. Communal toilets, shower rooms and bathrooms are also available.
Both homes have an onsite office for direct contact with the homes managers. And Fairfax hosts our accounts office and in house training coordinator and training area.

Viewings
We're always more than happy to show you around and talk you through the process of moving in with us. You will be shown around by either our manager or one of our care managers. We have years and years of experience under our belts and are here for you to delve into our fountain of knowledge. Especially as finding the right home and funding can feel like a mine field. Our mangers have dealt with every personal situation going and will be on hand to advise you on different courses of action for your loved ones. If a question should pop up after the viewing just give us a call.
